An intriguing chapter! Lots to think about regarding what it means to be isekai’d into a world that developed in a vastly different direction from the home world. It makes sense for something like that to weigh on Chika, potentially being the person responsible for a lot of change, both good and bad. Personally, I feel like I’d keep everything to myself too, it sounds like too much of a hassle haha. But at the same time, Thelian makes a valid point---maybe someone else will discover the knowledge later down the line anyways. It’d be good to use Chika’s knowledge to teach things slowly, at least improve things one tiny step at a time :0
Nevertheless, they seem to have a more pressing problem…..(these two can never catch a break LOL)

Wow Nalindra MVP!! The difference between a person and what they can do is huge, Thelian T__T glad Nalindra is here to talk it out with him with that bluntness of hers.
Walking through a garden does sound nice! Especially because these are definitely flowers that are different from the ones on Earth, and ofc the usage of the plants is more important than the looks of the flowers ;D
And ahhh, playing an instrument for her is so lovely, and a step in the right direction for sure!
THOUGH !!!! not everything is going to go right, because there’s something about her water that’s relevant to the vitafelar dependency (or lack therof), and it’s something Chika’s not even fully willing to divulge to Thelian huh…?

The father is no help at all what a shame :( oh, but the servant advice does sound good though, it’s a start even though Thelian is like ???!!! what is dining out I have never heard of such a thing. ALSO LOL JSDKJDKF he really did think it’s for the sake of demonstrating his wealth, disastrous….well, his efforts may or may not be appreciated ;D
Courting helmet…..I laughed adkfhjasdh pretty impressive that the merchant could convince him to wear it, because it doesn’t seem to be a tradition there, but ALSO it does make a lot of sense that he was like, yeah we match. It really is the thought that counts! And Thelian put his best foot forward there, but his values on marriage and romance are so vastly different that it hurt Chika instead :c
Oooh, I like the last line! even though the date ended poorly, it means there’s some hope for them!!!

Oh my gosh, Thelian was right, his father sure did order him to marry Chika haha! I do wonder what Gwendar is planning, or if he’s being genuine. But with Thelian on guard against him, it’s all good either way I suppose! He’d make a pretty good ally if he means his support though…the way of the church is likely difficult to change but then again, Chika’s planning on winning them ALL over, I think she stands a pretty good chance ;D
SOMEHOW I feel like the father’s courtship teachings will either go well or backfire horribly hahaha

Not unexpectedly, people sure love to gossip! and not in a good way, because Thelian should’ve gone after her but he immediately returned to work instead?? And OMG the emperor…..though Lord Gwendar definitely does not share the same sentiments, and we’re seeing him being openly hostile too…
Oh wait, Chika is here too ahahaha, witnessing everything…I wonder what she’s thinking now haha!
But it’s definitely nice to see the emperor putting Lord Gwendar in his place—so it was Chika’s doing! That line about how fast she could work from Thelian was foreshadowing after all. And oh my gosh, pleading leniency on Lord Gwendar’s behalf, ingenious?!?!?
And it’s nice that Chika is willing to talk things out with Thelian, though it’s kind of funny how there are a ton of onlookers for this because they don’t trust to leave them alone together :’) and admitting that she immediately found him handsome at first glance :D definitely embarrassing to say all of that out loud and with a crowd no less, but they definitely needed this

Askfsaldkf it’s good Nalindra is the housekeeper and not part of the court, and it’s good that people around her know she means well haha! Just seeing the amount of scheming and intelligence from the rest of the cast, she sticks out like a sore thumb ;D Ooh, I like the bit about how a small amount of spying was healthy for diplomacy, very interesting to see the sorts of things Thelian needs to deal with as an advisor :0 yesss crop rotations! Glad Chika is winning over the farmers with business…once people get over their initial mistrust, it’ll be pretty obvious that her modern-day knowledge will work miracles hehehe
Winning over everyone around Lord Gwendar, now that’s ambitious indeed! Ambitious enough for Thelian to note that his father would order him to marry her on the spot---or is that just his own subconscious hahaha
And LOL OMG he really did it….of course she isn’t going to say yes right away that’s not how things work??! Hahaha, but nevertheless, it could be a good thing to get it out in the open, both his interest in her as well as the reason she can't get married hmmm....

It’s nice to kind of get a glimpse of the way Thelian’s dad is like, his glory days vs what he’s acting like currently, haha! It gives us more insight on the way Thelian is. And ooh, more vitafelar lore….do they not grow in further regions? 👀 Curious indeed…not only that, it seems like almost an addiction of sorts, kind of scary D:
I particularly like the line “I have faith in the gods, but not those men who claim to speak for them” , so the father who used to be very clever really has been fooled by Lord Gwendar, and I wonder what the latter’s goals are hmmm
AND no double standards, that’s the father Thelian knows :D he's safe for now, but not for long....

pepper spray!! a fearsome foe indeed, and it really is a shame that the crowd saw only her powers and not her compassion 😭 I love how the emperor was like, omg, hit me with that pepper spray too :D I'm glad Chika was able to avoid full-on combat with Lord Thundrakar, that would've been a bad time haha! but unfortunately, the fun doesn't seem like it'll last very long, the father in the crowd now is about to make an appearance....and he seems angry !!!😱

ahaha the emperor's love for fun and amusement strikes again, not letting their plans to bail Chika out of this situation work out ;D the part with the Chika eating the vitafelar was something I was looking forward to, some lore about just what the life-saving fruit is...though some of my questions are unanswered as of yet, it's interesting that she can eat it, and there are no side effects...! what were the others expecting from her, I wonder...? perhaps just superstition...?

Lord Thundrakar is so funny, I like him! Loud and brash and earnest, and wanting to face off against Chika, and thanks to the emperor's meddlings, it looks like that's going to end up happening ;D

theyre scheming already hehehe.....I was initially feeling bad that Thelian had to keep up appearances early on about the soldiers, and that they couldn't appreciate her help together---but it was a plan all along 👀 and so some palace intrigue begins~! I looooved the part where Chika brightened up at the single bed in a small and sad room haha, what was she sleeping on before?! 😭 and thinking on the bright side, that she can decorate the room however she wants!

and omg......a combat challenge!!! exciting 😱

Chika's understanding of predator-prey relationship and balance in nature is something that seems like common sense on Earth, but here it seems to be a mindblowing new concept 👀 I'm definitely enjoying that aspect of isekai most, especially with Thelian's POV. Not just anyone would think of this though when it comes to the vormorak issue, so it really highlights Chika's wit and resourcefulness~

-- and I also really liked tying in to how the balance of the palace works! it takes some time and effort, but they're slowly starting to understand each other more, which is wonderful :D

Ahh, with this chapter I see what you meant with the tendency to lore dump---in my opinion, it was done well in regards to interspersing some of the worldbuilding with Thelian’s thoughts! With fantasy stories that require heavy worldbuilding, but possibly a bit more of Thelian’s POV while going through the military parade might smooth it out a bit more? But otherwise with the world you’ve crafted, I think the pacing and unfolding of the lore works well!
Kashflkjdhs the emperor and his selective hearing “Thelian’s sweetheart is here”, but I’m sure that works in Thelian’s favour :’)) and ooh Chika intends to sell the antidote, how clever! And Thelian without hesitation willing to take the andidote, I wonder if that’s in part, the emperor’s sneaky plans to figure out just what Chika is to him heheheh
And oooh I love how the emperor is described to enjoy causing trouble for the court officials LOL sounds like there’ll never be a boring day in the emperor’s court! Good luck Thelian....

Ahhh, the rumours are making business difficult, though it’s not the best of circumstances, when else would Chika come specifically to visit 👀
And a banter of wits! :D I can definitely feel the tension and chemistry (not specifically in a romantic way, but that they complement each other well and neither are willing to back down hahaha this will definitely be fun). Agree with Chika, nothing quite like curry with rice, though the different spices is sure to be weird for the locals who’ve only (?) been eating vitafelars
It must be tough to try and live a peaceful, ordinary life in a city when she’s also using earthly knowledge in a fantasy world, which in turn makes people fear and respect her, so I definitely understand Thelian’s position! And !!!!!!!!!! the last line 👀👀👀👀

Awwww I’m so glad you liked the comments, I tend to ramble a little nonsensically hahaha ;D and yes, it’s definitely a challenge to get the pacing right with the webnovel-style schedule AHAHA I love winging it so I feel that >:D
And YES callbacks are so satisfying and tasty, which made the chapter extra delicious!! Totally understandable that those two would sweep all polls hehe, and LOL necessary annoying does describe him pretty well LOLOL I do wonder if an outsider’s perspective (ie the story written from Mia or Claire POV) would make people change their opinion of him? And yeeee see all his flaws and growth and chaos, while we only see Hiroyuki’s POV of the others
👀👀 maybe Mia's inner thoughts are insane too.....jk jk
