I’m so glad we got to see Mia and Toren again in the final chapter! And seeing Toren being able to talk to her comfortably, it gives me so much joy ;v;;;; idk how to explain it, but the way these last few chapters have lined up so perfectly, in pacing, in connecting everything together, it feels like eating a hearty meal with many courses, each more delicious than the last, with dessert!!!!! The two of them coming back to Farelle, as Love Sorceress and Love Assistant, aaand he gets magic now, I’m just so overwhelming it’s like watching someone else’s kid grow up and feeling maternal instinct for the first time akjfhdkll don’t perceive me for a bit idk words anymore -
The communing with the trees bit is brought back again ahaha, and seeing that Toren enjoyed the kelpie ride wayyyy more than Hiroyuki did, well those two are definitely fated to be together ehehe and it’s so nice that they can go anywhere now, and people will remember them when they’re there! It’s a little bittersweet (and I was in pain and agony and misery when Mia and Toren first talked like they could barely remember the elf that helped them), they can fulfil their role as World Breakers but also not lose the connection they have completely! And the movie date aaaaaaaa they really are a perfect match, I just really, really love how everything was tied in like this in this chapter, the love language books, the kelpie date, every callback I just have the biggest grin on my face rn and ALSO the outtake scene – you had me in the first half bc that was a pretty perfect ending but then we get Poochy back for a cute scene of them plummeting back onto earth (or Farelle, specifically), for an encounter with Mia and Toren, that last sentence is SO funny because yeah, all of these descriptions are exactly what they are but it’s also so chaotic imagine someone reading this story for the first time and starting from the last sentence and then being like ????!?!?! wtf ??
I had an ansolutely BLAST reading this, you’ve crafted such a lovable, chaotic cast and an interesting world, and the humour and jokes had me giggling to myself like an insane person and some of the backstory and farewell chapters legitimately made me tear up because of how much I’d grown to love everyone and their dynamics ;A; I’m SO glad the promise of the wholesome romance and happy ending was what kept me alive hahaha, so many things could’ve gone in a different direction which I wouldn’t mind, but the cozy feeling of a guaranteed wholesome tale gave me a lot of joy from every page! I think Hiroyuki is definitely still my fave, despite the rest of the cast being so colourful and fun and I adore everyone actually, but his growth is just SO satisfying, he really pushed to become a better version of himself and just, everyone’s lives were made better because of the choices he made idk I’m rambling now like he keeps doing because yeah. relatable LOL
Hopefully this made even a semblance of sense hahaha, thank you so much for the fantastic journey of romance and character growth and everyone matchmaking for someone else and failing slightly hahaha!!! Hope you manage to get plenty of rest and catch up with irl after a busy word-filled summer !!!
