i sort of like the underpinnings of societal critiques on homelessness, although i wonder if it can be drowned out by his sardonic nature at times. He’s emotionally distrustful, sarcastic and heaved by his past, that much you can feel. Usually people like this are unlikeable (which he is) but at the very least honest. His callousness isn’t his character rather more of a mechanism to avoid himself. Precisely why the old woman accepts him.
The themes of past errors and pathways that spawn from that are all ones i hope do get explored. The humor shined a bit more in this chapter. The woman is by far the catalyst and heart of the story and it’s also interesting to see what types of relationships develop in unusual circumstances.
So far, it’s interesting
