I do have to say, that was quite the disturbing read, so yeah. Then again, that was exactly what you were going for - a look into Noriko's thought processes in the past and why she is so obsessed with death or suicide. Not a very comfortable topic to tackle, but yeah.
Someone might call it edgy, but I don't think so. I think you handled it pretty well - Kazuma, in particular, doesn't think suicide is a solution, but rather he was trying to find a way to stop Noriko from killing herself. We all know he will succeed, but I'm curious to see how he went about it.
An edgy story would be him embracing death and going uber edgelord by insisting that the world sucks and he should just kill everyone/kill himself. But he's not. I guess some people might disagree, but I can assure you that you're not treading the so-called edgy path.
