Beautiful descriptive story-telling, the environment is just an absolute vibe. Fight scenes were pretty engaging and violent, despite how flowery it was.
This is just my opinion, but I feel like the starting of the story felt slow and there seemed to be some borderline purple prose moments. Not sure if it's because I'm the type who likes things fast-paced though. But most of the time, the prose focuses on being immersed with the environment rather than the narrative itself. But it does make up for it with the emotional impacts some of the scenes bring throughout the chapters.
(Just my opinion) The social developments between the characters seemed pretty weak, might be because you're too focused on the environment of the story.
Doesn't change the fact that this novel reads like a colorful garden shined upon by the ever graceful light of the moon.
Very cool novel, Petri. Sad to see you died before you could make a better conclusion.
