Well, I loved the idea of a femcel and a gentleman being forced to work together in an apocalypse.

Also, I admire the idea of chivalry. And you know, they say, they say, chivalry is dead, dead, dead. But I don't believe it.

So writing about a gentleman seemed cool to me. And I believed that a true genuine gentleman could change a woman's heart, namely, Ori's.

Does that make sense?

Yes, this is a male writing a female character (might have butchered it too).

This novel was pretty much meant to be ridiculous. I was trying to go for the campy vibe, so everyone's meant to be absurd in some way. Hence all the weird and stupid actions. That doesn't excuse me from the fact that 2 of my antagonists seemed flat to you. I should have tried working on their characters a bit more.

But this would be the most important thing to tell you. I wanted to make Perci an example of how a gentleman should act, that's all. I'm a straight guy and it kind of goes like this. Perci is a guy who I would look up to, not smash. Well I would smash him if I were a girl......

I'll admit, it's unrealistic. I guess I was being a bit too extreme and exaggerated when writing this chapter. It's kind of meant to be that way. This is fiction writing, so I don't think it has to be realistic. But I like your suggestion. Maybe I went too crazy with it to the point where it doesnt seem believable.

As for why she's the most hated student, it's pretty much a spoiler for a later chapter, so I can't say anything now. But I feel like I should have made it more obvious that it was a mystery.

Also that apocalypse came out of literally nowhere. I'd say it's my way of catching people off guard, but it could also be interpreted as an abrupt change in pacing.

It's not like walking dead, you only turn into a zombie when you get bitten or make contact with zombie blood. Well cuz it's a virus.

Also the virus can survive in the body without any blood flow. You know how bodies can still move even after death? That's because the nervous system doesn't shut down even when the brain does. The virus can take advantage of the nervous system to control the body.

Also, Bryce and Damien weren't the only zombies there. But I guess I might not have made it clear. Ori described that there were zombies, but mentioned that one of them looked familiar.

And for my final and most thought provoking point, I didn't think things through when writing this part 😂
