And they lived happily ever after.....
To be honest, I'm not sure how I'm supposed to treat this story.
I'd say this was a fun read. From the very beginning, this novel never tried to take itself seriously, even mocking its own antics and adding in some absurd references. I could only really describe it as a parody of the romcom genre. Most of the "critique" of this novel is pretty much already stated by the narrator itself, which is pretty weird, but funny in its own way. The comedy here is pretty good imo, but I guess sometimes it's a hit or miss and comes off as corny at times.
If you want a critique, I'm not sure how I would give it, but I'll try.
I found it weird that the narrator seems to have a lot of personality compared to the actual main characters. Well, it kind of makes the story funnier, but it comes off as awkward and un-immersive. The narrator just ends up taking away the spotlight on the main characters. To counter this, I believe some of the narrator's lines should have been said by the characters themselves, kind of like how they do it Gintama. However, this novel is pretty much meant to be chaotic anyway, so this take might not be too relevant.
