Is this a good rom-com? Yes. Yes it is.
When I first stumbled upon this novel, I already found the premise of Plant-a-Girlfriend interesting. It's honestly enough to make it stand out from other romcoms. Early on, the introductions of both Minato and Sakura were already enough to hook me into the story. The comedy aspect of the novel shines well through the interactions between characters and the crazy situations they've been put through. It works well as a cute slice of life, with a mix of some rather bizarre events. The romance aspect shines in the later parts, showing off some deep feels and heart touching moments. I love the dynamic between the two lovebirds, wish I had a relationship as wholesome and fun as theirs.
The villain was quite underwhelming though, just pops in and out my brain.
Anyways, it was a fun read, I will now try to find an alien seed and plant a gf myself.
