I feel dumb for that last comment 😅
Kind of interesting to see Sally and Birch as underdogs who were treated unfairly under Victoria's tyranny. Sally is a genius for the idea of a fight club and Birch was pretty much just the hypegirl. Despite being subject to bullying in the past, it's ironic that these two ended up becoming the bullies they hated so much. But they're honestly much worse than Victoria because they resorted to physical violence.
Maia was pretty much just dragged into their plans and didn't really have the desire for it in the first place. Her two friends were basically just using her for her clout, but I wouldn't go as far as to believe they weren't genuine friends. Birch admired Maia (too much) and Sally gave her an opportunity to make school life better.
I have faith that they will reconcile together again, as shown by Sally peeking at Maia's box. Birch and Sally needs to redeem themselves, for real. *wink wink*
Although Argent makes a point since this kind of feels like filler, I think this will all be connected to the main story. These two chapters were meant to show off Maia's character and introduce a villain, I assume. So I think it's all good.
As for how important this hoodie dude will be with Kiro's life, who knows?
