That last bit was the Director greeting Jiro, making it the first time they’ve actually met while Jiro was conscious. 😁 You’ll remember in chapter 1 he saw him during the training video, and in chapter 2 he was floating out of consciousness.

Fascinating, I see where your timeline branches off now. That’s what I was most excited to see with the alt-history category was how different authors handle the inciting event in time. The butterfly effect allows for infinite possibilities 🦋 but I’m curious how cogsworth actually worked logistically, hope to find out.
