I let everyone step forward for a bit, but yeah Yuki's back in the story. And it would be Ayumi that would find them. Now that Yuki can actively control his power, he's going to become more like her meaning she can think more like him in how he would use his power. Hiding out as an old man seemed like a good nod that he's aware of what he can do more with it.
I haven't heard too much on who people ship. There are definitely options right now and things being created by the story. So I wouldn't say you are wrong for feeling like Yuki and Ayumi could be a pair, same with Yuki and Saki. Saki is definitely more friend material right now, but is very close with him. So that could easily change.
And yeah Kazuhiro's death weighs greatly on Yuki. A friend is dead because of connections to him. He's got a lot to work through. There is admittedly a difference Yuki and Kazuhiro were friends, while for Chiharu her men right now she doesn't have a strong bond with because there are so many of them its sort of a faceless mob that she just sort of thinks is always there, but noise. However that view will change.
