There's a lot of emotions in this chapter! I think Lyan's desire to help Lucia, by saying "Look, it's not like I want to die now. But your best chance for saving your kingdom is probably to summon someone who's actually a warrior unlike me" is actually rather heroic. I know he considered it cowardly (because he's still afraid of dying) but I feel like it's a really selfless response! I'd like to know a bit more about Lucia now too from her replies ☺️ because she also seems a selfless type! But first! Gotta survive this attack!!
Ohoho wait they're actually chained together? Oooh yess the romantic potential is high for this one 🤩 Though, right now they've got to get to know each other and their situation a bit first! Also realizing, if Layn isn't quite living (he's like a materialized human spirit that's bound to the sword) then...that might lead to sadness down the line if he and Lucia really do fall in love, but he isn't able to be a full person. (I know I'm leaping waaaaay ahead here! 🤣 It's my own writer's vibes, I swear. I start rolling with an idea and sometimes I gotta stop.) Maybe there are some magics in this world to make a Chain become fully real! Or some other cool workarounds!! ✨
Okay jumping in my comment here, because I feel like this is where the story gets rolling!! :D I like how Lucia is really courageous and is willing to help her kingdom at any cost, but also wants to keep her summoned Chain with her because she knows that he had a strong desire to live! (Even if he's not a willing fighter, which might hinder Lucia's goal.) It's a really cool premise, and also with their lives linked, I feel like there's a lot of potential for romance ;) okay maybe I'm jumping ahead a bit!

I didn't want things to get too exposition-heavy 🤣 an info dump about their kingdom wouldn't really fit the pacing right now, so huzzah!! Book tossing it is! Claire's background is definitely a mystery I plan to explore! It'll be a bit later in the narrative, but she's definitely going to get some backstory time >:)

Yesss he's learning! And for me, at least, as a writer I really enjoy exploring all the different ways love shows itself: how it brings people together, how something just as simple as really listening and understanding can totally make or break a relationship. I'm glad that came across well! And hoping it helped explain why Jun's last relationship fell apart, almost without him realizing (he was so caught up thinking about what a relationship SHOULD be, that he missed what was right in front of him!) Oh snap we do have the same upload days!! Nice >:) I was originally going to do Tue/Thur, but added Saturday realizing that was when most people would be online. (I work busy weekends tho 😭 so that will be the one upload date I gotta be careful not to miss!) Looking forward to seeing more of your story tomorrow!!

You know, at first I thought he might just be a bit crazy, but Theo's ridiculous pose and following up with the fact that he's being eccentric just because he's so *bored* really helped him make sense as a character. I'm starting to like him! Though, almost everyone seems to have a strange programming around them, making them want to attack(?) Cherry. Very mysterious. She's like a glitch in the system!
I have such fun fairy tale vibes from this!! The magical enchantments! The talking goose! The dresses!! I feel like this is almost Brother's Grimm inspired (but those tales are way too, well, grim lol.) But with a dash of Sleeping Beauty! But like, also in its own style. I really liked Paltar and Nanna running off together. Something about it was super cute and natural 💕 like, I definitely already feel romantic potential for them.
Oh wait! Photoshop actually turned up!! 🤣 But yeah, even playing the Photoshop card, the rumors would spread. I think "I bought it and wore the bracelet because my little sister asked" is still his best out! But why get out, when being with Ichika-chan is sure to cause some fun drama? ;) Hehehe, excited to see how things play out! ...also wait, was that a Hime x Hime reference? You know. I was not expecting references to other HF novels but that's kind of great!!
Oh man you captured that annoying sibling feeling perfectly. In my case, it was my older siblings that did stuff like this to me, but omg yep. You took me back to those days perfectly. Thankfully, Kotone is cute enough to get away with it! 🤣 lilia-chan love!! Waiting for Ikemen-kun to start panicking and telling his friends that picture is photoshopped 😭
"Certified ikemen and smooth talker." Oh no I already like this sarcastic jerk. 😭 Wait his dark secret is that he's an otaku?? Suddenly I like him even more. Not for being an otaku fan, but because it's somehow adorable that he considers that his dark secret. Precious ikemen boy must protect his normie status!! and precious otaku girl is here to shake that up >:)

Oh thank you!! That's so nice to hear, I'm glad it could make you smile ☺️ it's certainly a different blend of elements (I did worry I had a few too many ideas to tie it all together!!) but I'm hoping to make it work. Especially because I love these dorky characters 💕
I know right?? My main character is getting cheat codes 😭 (but he may not realize yet they're not quite in his favor!)
I won't say too much because spoilers, but it is something in that vein! ;) I'm actually still figuring out the details myself. I have general ideas for the plot, but things always evolve and change when I start actually writing it out! If I can share some laughs, then I'm all for it 🤣 except I think my poor main character might be the one taking the hit for a lot of the jokes!
