But the stress of it all is getting to him :( and he's still trying to do baseball on top of everything else! Thank goodness Takeshi noticed that ankle before it got any worse!! 🤕 I'm glad it was just a sprain. If Neo kept trying to run on that leg, I'm worried it could have gotten way worse. Takeshi is a bro 😭

Hello!!! 👋 I'm so sorry I am late! My life has been very busy and I have so little time to myself right now. But I am going to read and catch up ❤️ because Neo is the best!

First! New cover art and title name?! Ooooh! I like it 🤩 And now I finally get to read about the party!!! 🥳

Neo is scared to go to the party 🥺 I understand that. Parties scare me too! But I'm glad he worked up the courage to go! The decorations sound lovely and this party sounds magical 🌟 plus I love that Hoshi has a star theme! (Because Hoshi 🤭)

Luna continues to be my favorite 😉 purple dress and witch hat? How could I not love her!!! 🪄🔮

You joke, but it's true. Artists have some pretty crazy stuff in their apartments. 🤣 [hides bottles of chemicals and whistles]

Yeaaaahhh YouTube or Internet videos in general are *not* the best place for safety standards. I see similar problems with Resin videos, or any other art form that uses industrial grade chemicals. They always say "Use gloves and a mask" and then they don't use them themselves!! 😆
But there is a reason I own a full-face vapor respirator mask and ask my family to help pay for replacement filters for the holidays. If you work with these chemicals regularly, with repeated exposures, the health risk is higher. Not saying you need to put your characters in respirator masks for this chapter 😆 because that's probably beyond the scope of this novel. But if Akimi does this a lot, she would definitely glove & mask up most of the time to reduce risks 👍

And yeah! We worked with black and white photography for the class, to get started with the development process. We did a few color photos at the end, but a limited amount. Since technically I was not a Photography Major, I couldn't access the higher level dark room courses (and didn't have the time for it either 😆) so mostly I only know black and white development.

Honestly the chance to get to use Japanese social norms around names has been so fun. I love being able to switch between First Name / Last Name / Nickname to indicate familiarity between characters, without having to explicitly say it. Still haven't used honorifics much 🤣 since I'm trying to write a little more "Western" and not use -san, -kun, or -chan every other sentence. For non-competition stories, I want to write all the honorifics that I hear in my writing, that I've edited out for legibility reasons! But I was not willing to give up on nicknames like Rokkun and Toricchi ❤️

As for menstruation being depicted in stories and media...it's a delicate topic, and not one I'd discuss in a public forum due to opinions being very strong. So I won't have much to say on the matter 🙏 I know you respect honest feedback, so I'm sorry I can't speak on that!

But really it's close, so that means I got my writing vision across pretty well! This chapter was a bit tricky to try to describe a whole otherworldly plane, but still keep things thematically matching with the rest of the story! But Jun bursting in with an "I object" ❣️ if that isn't thematically on-brand, I don't know what is xD

Honestly I wanted some more time to explore the concept of fate here, but realized I didn't want to derail the story plot, so had to accept only including a few brief stories about it. The goal was more to just reveal that fate is a neutral existence in this world, trying to be neither good nor evil, just following a set path -- and disrupting the path leads to World Breakers. Might still workshop this section a bit more if I can.

But honestly yes. Sneeze in your coworker's office and spread the cold, keeping SAO from being invented. You'd be a World Champion for that 😌

I wanted to go even more Eldritch and out-there than admin offices and courtrooms...but that ended up taking too much word count. I had to describe a whole new plane of existence, which made the story feel too... 🤔 Hmm, how do I put this? It felt like I changed genres into something more philosophically alternate dimension / horror? So, I decided to go with an office layout that was a bit more familiar, just to keep things more "anime" and less "Lovecraft" xD

You're on to something there with the empathy. And also the fact that Jun appeared after 500 years, was that really coincidence? The Void Champions certainly didn't expect Claire to isekai him though! 🤣 I can confirm that much!
