Author's Commentary #323:
Time to talk about Chapter 323: Power of the pyramids.
It's the fight no one knew they needed, but sure glad they got it. It's Lego Bionicle vs the Bosnian pyramids. And not just that, the girl who debuted a chapter ago now has her name revealed, and she even brought along a new character who's this story's equivalent of a Lego Bionicle fangirl. Let's talk about them starting with Jasmina.
ヤスミナ・アルティリエリヤ (Jasmina Artiljerija) is how her name would be spelled in katakana.
Her birthday is July 26th, which she shares with Mereoleona Vermillion from Black Clover.
Her favorite piece is the queen, because like her, it's independent and kicks ass whenever it feels like it.
As stated in the chapter, Jasmina is a tomboy, and often gets in fights with pretty much anyone. She doesn't hold back either, which is why poor Esma ended up with a bruised face. She's also younger than Miralem, making him her older brother.
エスマ・オスマナギッチ (Esma Osmanagić) is how Esma's name would be spelled in katakana.
Her birthday is August 10th, which is coined as Bionicle day or 810ONICLE day.
Her favorite piece is the king, as it is Wakuta's favorite piece.
Originally, Esma was meant to be nothing more than a girl embarrassed by her father's eccentricity, but while writing this chapter, I decided to make her be a Roboticle fangirl, this universe's equivalent to a Lego Bionicle fangirl. As such, she's quickly risen to become one of my favorite characters. She does still get embarrassed by Refik's antics, but she now has her own nerdy side as well. She's also the DSPCM of Visoko, which is the location of the hills where the Bosnian pyramids are claimed to be.
Speaking of pyramids, Refik's play-style revolves around pawn pyramids, which is a solid strategy as pawn pyramids and chains truly are powerful and tough to deal with. Poor Wakuta really got outplayed, but it just goes to show Refik's no slouch when it comes to chess. Whoever ends up facing him will have a tricky task ahead of them, as Refik will most certainly be playing as White next round.
And with that, the Bosnia and Herzegovina vs Denmark match is complete, with Bosnia and Herzegovina prevailing 3-1 over Denmark. While there's still one more game, or rather one character in particular I want to show off in a game before round 6, these next few chapters are mainly going to be less chess-focused, and more character and worldbuilding focused. This is mainly because I'm starting to get exhausted by all the games, and need a breather in order to rest my mind. Especially since round 6 will demand I get one of the games just right, as said game will play a pivotal role later in the arc. Round 6 will also have incredibly high stakes, but I won't spoil the exact details. Just know it will be the most intense round yet in the arc, but the rounds will only get more intense from this point on in the story.
That's all for this commentary. I hope you enjoyed it.
