Author's Commentary #1:
Welcome to Mystery ghost foresight [Remake]. Unlike my other novels, my author commentaries are going to work a bit differently. Rather than commenting on every chapter, I'll typically be commenting at the start and end of each arc.
Speaking of other series, if you've read my commentaries, particularly some from Spice of Life [Remake], you'll have seen me constantly talk about how Mystery ghost foresight needed a remake. Well finally it's here.
First off, Mystery ghost foresight [Remake] is part of the Jouzu-verse, and takes place before Spice of Life [Remake], Escape:Witch [Remake], and En Passant Grandmaster just to name a few. The Shiruka Collection serves as a prequel to this, but it is not necessary to read beforehand. Speaking of which, that segways into my next topic, changes between this and the original.
Back when I first wrote the original Mystery ghost foresight, I intended for it to be a direct continuation of Shiruka's story from The Yowie Hunt, and as such, the prologue of that novel focused on Shiruka waking up as a ghost. Here, I decided to just include a revised retelling of Shiruka's murder, mainly just for this story.
Though if you've already read The Shiruka collection or The Yowie Hunt, then you probably know the truth behind Shiruka's murder. On a quick note, The Shiruka Collection serves as a director's cut compilation work of all the Shiruka short stories and Yowie Hunt seasons and the versions of those stories included in it are considered the cannon versions of their original counterparts.
One final thing I'll mention is that a good chunk of the arcs from the original Mystery ghost foresight will be revised a bit for the remake, but they won't all be exactly the same as their original counterparts, so the original won't be able to spoil everything perfectly. This also means the remake, like all other [Remake] versions of my stories is the new cannon story-line for this series.
That's all for this commentary. I hope you enjoyed it.
