Author's Commentary #4:
Time to talk about Chapter 4: Polish superbet.
This is one I have a lot to say about. However, the bios come first.
アロイジ・バルトシェヴィッチ (Alojzy Bartoszewicz) is how Alojzy's name would be spelled in katakana.
His birthday is October 4th, which he shares with Polish grandmaster, Bartłomiej Macieja.
His favorite piece is the knight.
ジグムント・ブドカ (Zygmunt Budka) is how Zygmunt's name would be spelled in katakana.
His birthday is September 9th, which he shares with Polish grandmaster, Piotr Bobras.
His favorite piece is the king.
バルディラ・ハスク (Bardila Husk) is how Bardila's name would be spelled in katakana.
His birthday is June 19th, which he shares with Polish grandmaster, Bartłomiej Heberla.
His favorite piece is the king.
ヤロスワフ・アブガロヴィチ (Jarosław Abgarowicz) is how Jarosław's name would be spelled in katakana.

Another thing to note is Jarosław only speaks Polish. As such, Okisato is constantly speaking Polish throughout the match, in order to ensure he understands all his snides and insults.
In the original, this confrontation between Okisato and Jarosław didn't occur until after the 7th round of the tournament, mainly because that's how long it took me to write out the game and interactions between the two. Here, I've finally been given the chance to rectify that by having the confrontation occur right after round 3, where I originally intended for it to occur.
As for the game, there's an interesting story behind it. While I settled on Jarosław playing the Polish Opening early on, I forgot he was rated over 2700 and set the bot much lower when playing out the game. However, I don't regret this, as I feel the game was satisfactory at the very least.
