Altoria Dungeon is very specifically the "starter dungeon", so it's the fantasy equivalent to wandering around the halls in a government building... also... yes I think the developers couldn't quite scrounge up the money for different tiles 🤣 Doesn't help that the "game" of this world is basically Gauntlet.
I'm glad you liked the monsters! I wanted a mix of recognizable and utterly off-putting, so based on feedback so far it seems like I'm hitting that balance well enough 🤭 I want to get deeper into why the dungeon monsters are so weird, and there is also a full world filled with "monster races" above ground that get along just fine, but there's not enough room for that kind of info dump in this volume.
No comment on the *You Are Dead* section.
Ahh, then they were alone! Romantic? Here starts the wholesome romance? No. Just more murder. A little spot of light experience gathering (Souma neglected to check his bloody stats though), and onwards!
And now... how will it end? Probably not well. One more chapter and about 4K words and I suppose we'll all know 🤣 (recommended word count rolls quietly off my desk and dies).
Thanks so much for reading these giant chapters! We are almost at the end of vol 1!! ✨💕✨ I have been meaning to read a few more chapters With a Love Sorceress (How can you even abbreviate this? LoveLast?). I think when I finish the last chapter I'll sit down and gorge myself on all the chapters of everything I'm missing.
