The contrast between the melancholic bird in the shop and its lively, mischievous personality once freed was so unexpected, it caught me off guard in the best way. I also loved the vivid descriptions of the pet shop; it made the whole scene feel so immersive. The cockatiel’s dramatic personality had me laughing, especially when it broke the protagonist’s expectations.
