thank you so much for reading. this was definitely my hardest story to write. it was quite a challenge, and I’m not a huge action writer, so I hope those parts went well. For me, this was always just Miu and Yuki’s story of trying to be together. maybe in whatever afterlife they have, they’ll finally be together again.

oh wow I haven’t listened to Dir en Grey in ages! will give it a listen. and yes the G.A.K.I. goodbye scene was one of my favorite things to write. very surreal and tragic and in many ways it’s Miu and Yuki saying goodbye to their humanity as well.
