Yes, I really did a beach arc, haha.

And although it might seem like these chapters aren't really doing anything, in reality, they're doing a lot for Mary and her story. Like the title promises, the story is meant to have both a peaceful life and action-packed moments.

So peaceful moments like these are necessary. They show Mary having fun and being a normal girl with her human friends. This is the life she wants. So when the climax comes, you'll understand what she's willing to lose, or might lose, depending on how things play out.

The story already promises both slice-of-life and action-filled moments through the title, because this is Mary's entire dream: to become a normal girl.

As for the other content in the story, yes, you're right that I can trim some parts. But for the most part, one of the limiting factors was the deadline. I didn't have much time to think about what to keep and what to remove, or whether I should expand on a few other things, especially with the word-count limit.

So after writing the chapter, editing it, and making sure everything was smooth, I just posted it.
