The yelling at the end was really cathartic. 😊 Sometimes the reasons we're upset don't matter as much as the emotions we need to let out.
As a short personal aside, after about 20 something years of being on earth, I realize the shortcomings of using personal experience to parent. Somewhere along the way, the parent tries to instill everything they've learned about the world onto their child, without caring if it's a perfect fit for them. Inevitably, they end up unwittingly pushing their expectations and anxieties onto their child.
I appreciate the things my parents got right, but I can't help but feel sometimes that the lessons I learned from them poorly prepared me for the life ahead of me.
Well, anyways, enough about me. This was a great chapter!
