The Platonic Practice Date Plan is temporarily on hold, but this will be a much needed detour for Kenta. There is an old part of Kenta that needs to be reignited, and basketball is the easiest way to accomplish this. 😤

Ah yes, Minamoto-san was a character I wanted to introduce earlier on, but I couldn't find a natural place in the narrative to insert her. I'm not sure if I can still do it with fewer pages left, but there was a parallel theme I wanted to explore with her. I hope I can do her character justice!

Toren's nervous interactions with Mia reminded me a moment back in middle school where I couldn't look girls in the eye, well until one of my female friends bluntly told me to look her in the face when I talked to her. 😂 I'm fine now, but now I have to relearn how to talk to other guys. lol

Well, if it isn't the consequences of Kyoko's actions. 😆 She definitely meant well obviously, but she has no sense of personal scale sometimes.

This definitely isn't a new occurrence for her dad. He was a reasonable parent for the first few boys that Fumiko brought home with her, but he was a little more protective back then, mostly because of how quickly she entered relationships.

Kenta and Fumiko have officially advanced to phase 2 of their platonic romance. I still have a few story beats I want hit until the end, but for the most part, I'm a little more than halfway finished with the story.

I've fallen behind a bit on reading the entries I closely follow on here. I'll probably catch up this weekend with any luck. I've missed reading With a Love Sorceress, and hope to catch up on that story first. 😉

Now that I think about it, I probably don't pay much attention to the spacing at the bottom of the page when I finish a chapter. 🤔 But I'll try to pay more attention from now on!

You can't really have growth when you're in a relationship with the wrong person. I can't say exactly when, but Eri and Kenta will eventually meet again towards the end of the story. I can't share any other details, unfortunately.

Now that you mention it, the first four chapters were copy and pasted from a word doc program on my tablet. I'm guessing it didn't keep the formatted spacing. Idk just a guess really.

It really helped me with my productivity issues early on, but I switched to laptop because it caused a lot of back issues. I became peak gremlin when I was writing, including the hunch. lol

It's a bit of a familiar trope, but I feel it'd be a waste to not use the shift of changing from using a friend's last name to their first name. I'm glad you appreciated that part of the chapter.

Man, if I counted all the times my words or actions were misinterpreted, I'd need at least five sets of hands. 😒It's unfortunate, but Vivian's interpretation of the emojis isn't entirely her fault.

I enjoy the Viscountess so far! I assumed by the title that she'd be a little older than Vivian, but the familiarity implies that they're fairly close in age.

While I didn’t intend to make a sincere interpretation of an escape room, but I guess I’m happy to stumble into writing a realistic scenario. 😆

And in hindsight I didn’t realize just how crazy the whole escape test became. Kenta will definitely get some words in edgewise. Kyoko will probably tone it down next time a practice date’s involved.

And no worries! 😁 I do that without having dyslexia. It just takes a couple hours of sleep deprivation to do that to my brain.

And maybe this is too much information, but I’ve had my fair share of things I had to mentally adjust to in school, one of which being a personality disorder. It’s why nowadays I try to be empathetic as possible as well as practicing mindfulness.

tldr; I was toxic as a teenager and now I try to be less toxic.

Maybe it's because I haven't dated too often, but a fight over a loved one rarely feels justified, so I guess I don't understand Roki's pride either. Well, at least the two will hold off on their grudge match for now. 😸🧑

I'm gonna just confess, I had the same thought as Kenta during this scene.😆 Kenta and Fumiko could easily just ignore the heart subplot and nothing would've been lost. Basically, it was time for Ryuuji to act a little more heavy-handed so Kenta would get it.

A lot of people were dipping their hands into this escape test. Kyoko's miscalculations mostly came as a result of the actors' intentions. I'll go a little more into in the next chapter.

*Just as an unimportant side note, it was a 'basketball' card. I'm not really outraged by it, I just had to address it.
