Aaah, they're so endearing. Every single chapter just adds to it 😭

On another note: the description of just how fancy the penthouse was done beautifully. The hesitation about even interacting with anything in the room really did so much to elevate it
Curious as to what's next, but regardless, I loved this chapter, especially the reasoning behind Sayuri not minding her solitude so much anymore.
Messy is a great way to describe the process. But yes, being willing and able to work through it regardless is important ⸜( ´ ꒳ ` )⸝

But yeah, admittedly I think this chapter might've needed more editing/reworking for the back and forth. Even something as simple as indicating the more foreign/not understood words to the language with single quotes and italics like throughout most of the story might've helped a little 😅

Yeah... Singing is really one of those things. Potentially liberating, yet at the same time nerve-wracking, especially when there's someone besides yourself to hear your voice

Reading it from Kiyah's first person perspective adds another dimension, lot of cool new info too
