Seems like I wasn't entirely wrong with my speculation about the "borderland"-connection to Cael's homeworld :)

The plot thickens, the curiousity increases. Also, the descriptions of the shelter and weather raging outside were at the same time cozy and mysterious. Unlike Val, I absolutely love thunderstorms, so imagining this weather while reading added a lot to the pleasant atmosphere and nice reading expirience

I wonder why magic ist't working there and what kind of hallucination (?) in the beginning it was. I am thinking of this place as a sort of "borderland" between worlds - maybe even between specifically this one and Cael's homeworld.

Also, finally a bath scene ☺️ I like how Val's attitude regarding intimacy and actual meaning of some acts evolves through the story. She is like speedrunning these things from the state of an innocent child who doesn't mind stripping here and there to an adult who learnt the ethics and "rules" and all the shame coming with that knowledge

Very intense and action-packed chapter, I liked it! At this point Cael must be not just "athletic" but a true superhuman to be able to literally carry them both out of this.

Now I am curious what's behind the door, you definitely know for sure how and when put your cliffhangers :)

The story gets more and more romcom vibes with every chapter, but I still can not completely relax because of feeling that something bad (worse than Val injuring herself) has to come.

I enjoyed the wordplay in this chapter's name, makes a lot of sense after reading :)

The scenery of a crystal cave was truly beautiful!

Also, more than 2 hours of descent... that cave is much bigger than I expected, my claustrophobia would probably start slowly killing me at that point...

It's nice seeing Val asking some questions about Cael's homeworld, because her lack of interest to it was my concern a few chapters ago. She missed an opportunity to ask what is a "video", though :)

I also like how you always manage to write the awkwardness and little misunderstandings in their communication so cute and wholesome, but in no way cringy (at least not for us readers), love it! ☺️

It was a hilarious dialogue on dating, mating and stuff 😆But I like how they still could clarify their grounds and relationships status despite all the awkawrdness and language barrier!

Though I feel a bit uneasy for them discussing this in the middle of potentially dangerous environment. Hope they don't lose their concentration for whatever'll happen next chapter

At first I was only about to say "good, that they discussed all what happened recently before the rift of misunderstanding between them grew even wider", but then it escalated quickly (in a good way). That was a well-written confession scene - fully in logical line of how their feelings toward each other were developing but still a bit pleasantly surprising 👏

*flicker*. I knew it. It is just as if it waited for Val to find the letters all this time. The letters were really touching, I have tears in my eyes now.

Amazing chapter and amazing job on explaining much but not too much, I read stories before where releaving diares killed the whole intrigue, so I am glad here was not the case. We still don't know what The Vanishing was or how it's been caused but I'm sure we'll find out later. And now the whole grandparents thing on top of it. A lot of tasty and nutritious food for thought, thank you! :)
