Note to readers: Those of you that have been following the entire series are probably thinking, "I don't remember a KGB agent." And, you would be right. He comes from a short story that I wrote between volume 3 and Volume 4. Volume 3 was originally going to be the end of the story when I wrote these years ago. So I wrote a short story involving Jessica and the team, that was the original idea for Black Orchid. However, this short story came across as a noir style hardboiled detective story with all the cliche dialogue. At this point, I don't intend to publish it. Please accept that she knew the man.
