It was so nice with a cooling dawn chapter, and of course, everyone stayed on the team. And finally, everybody will find out exactly what mission they signed up for.

Great entry for Adish there. Was he the guy in the shop too? And they just didn't recognize him with the hood?

Loved the scene where Nona punches Ania to make their escape, and she immediately stops to apologize. True Nona-moment there.

But as far as I'm concerned, she could have spent a bit longer flirting wth the cute white-haired mermaid twink... 😼

This was really nice, and I like how you left them in a hopeful but not fully solved situation. They defeated the worms (for now), but they still need to rebuild society, and there's a lot of distrust going around.

Really cool concept and take on the prompt. I really enjoyed following along on the ride.

So, as we suspected, the council worked with the worms 'for the greater good', committing atrocities while looking for a way to stop 'the greater evil'. Unfortunately, it's not too hard to understand their reasoning, and they did get some results.
At least now they have a way to kill both the worms coming to this world -- and if they can find a way to attack their homeworld too, that could end this fairly fast.
They won't get back everything they lost, but at least now there's real hope for a world where they can heal, use the flow again - and be free of the worms.
