Burned Out Heroes.
Immediately, burnout comes to mind and the question of how the author wants to turn yet another hero story into an interesting tale.
In short, this is a tell, don't show kind of prologue, and I believe it has to be.
Right at the start, strange words I weren't familiar with were thrown around, all this talk of 'Amalgamate Age', 'anamnesis', 'anamnology', and 'Anamnesisian Conflict' made me stumble over the words with every appearance, and it slowed my reading and immersion down, if not wholly halting it.
To prevent this from happening in the novel itself, where pace, characters, and flow are very important, this prologue exists.
I want to suggest not introducing several new terms that start with 'a' at the same time. This leads to confusion.
I get that they are related, but take birds for example. Birds are also called 'avians', but their study is called 'Ornithology'.
Just as an example.
Aside from that, this does leave some lingering questions, and to answer those, I shall proceed with the first chapter.
