This story has fresh ideas. Few game testing or quality control manga/anime already published but there are still a lot of area to explore. No offense but I have a few opinions. Game development activities varied across projects and companies. But I think the responsibility of gameplay manager (or maybe user experience, UX) is when the game already playable or atleast alpha testing. So, the responsibility forced upon Ray is a bit contrived unless his role also including project management, debugging or lead programming. Also gameplay manager might imply roles in devising quests, game mechanics, worldbuilding, etc. In this case, gameplay designing usually precede programming even though there are back and forth feedback incrementally. This is just opinion because the workflows varied in game development.
