That's cool and all, I appreciate I gave you some things to consider.
For the record, I don't think it's bad to write in the issues as gendered issues. We live at a time where that's more important than ever, after all. But suffice it to say that there are some things we do well to *extract* gender out of, and relationships are one of those, in my view. Unironically, writing everyone as non-binary but with gendered pronouns could be a good step towards that, so you might as well try that trick moving forward.
