Yep, Kiku is still Kooky.
Not sure just yet how I feel about Kohei keeping the reader in the dark about his alternate hypothesis. Information is a delicate balance in any story, but with a 1st person narrator who breaks the 4th wall like he does, it's sometimes very clear that info is being withheld. He says he's thinking it's wrong, but then why withhold it from the reader? I guess whether it works will depend on the payoff and what it's meant to achieve.
Oh, when Kohei mentions 'Mishima or someone who knows the system', then calls his teacher, I thought he was actually calling his homeroom teacher. Why would Kiku know it better than another student? (if Kohei just wanted an excuse to call his crush that's cool)
Also, third paragraph from the bottom, the word "my" appears twice in a row.
