Really nice chapter, although I think having a little more description for when Shiera meets Sakira would be nice. I'm always a big fan of the deal with the devil thing, and the final ending on the reveal that Shiera sold out Kori was really cool. It got me audibly going, "damn!"

I do feel like nobody actually likes Kori (even the characters) so the emotional impact is somewhat crippled. Might be something worth developing in future rewrites but idk what you're planning with his character from now on so take it with a grain of salt.

The Queen having time travel abilities and being a Beta is a cool twist, followed by an interesting subversion of the main character not actually being as important as expected.

I'm assuming as the trope goes, the specters aren't actually mindless monsters and this war isn't as morally black and white as the queen makes it out to be.

Also, drafting undertrained children into a war? Based.
