The formatting with dialogue on either side is a surprisingly simple yet elegant way to have a long string of dialogue without confusing the reader with who's speaking.

Nice chapter overall. Waiting for more.

The Sequence of Kai

Chapter:43

Jun 11, 2022

After a broken neck, there may be up to two minutes of awareness before a lack of oxygen leads the patient to suffocate and consciousness. Permanent brain failure occurs only a few minutes after.

During those two minutes, Nanami Hoshii would have been in extreme pain and completely unable to communicate whatsoever due to the lack of air.

In the text, Melo is said to have pushed Nanami Hoshii off a cliff within the span of 'a few minutes.' Thus, I conclude there is a solid possibility Nanami Hoshii may have been conscious and aware when he was thrust into the ocean, ultimately dying via drowning.

The first few lines of dialogue about drowning kinda ticked me off but then the actual start of the story really drew me back in. I'm really liking the style of the prose. It feels very nice to read.

Will be keeping an eye on this one!
