To be fair, it's not like Sam's going out of her way to make everyone's lives miserable. Her initial outburst was bad, sure, but she's in serious pain and freaking out. Once that wears off, she only lashes out when Mary tries to talk to her. Which, again, not good, but it's not exactly the same as everyone being her "punching bag" in my eyes, it's more like a wounded animal wanting to be left alone.
