Oh my gosh, thank you SO much for taking the time to read this and leave such an insightful and lovely comment! I'm very honoured that you found the story perspective unique, I was definitely going for a "shounen manga but in the POV of random character #35", so I'm really glad that shows through! And yes, there's definitely a lot that can be expanded off of, and you pointed it out very perfectly -- time limit aside there was supposed to be a whole fancy fantasy action arc to finish up the slice of life.......though all we got was slice of life in the end. ;D
And ooh I definitely get you, I only started writing in present tense recently and honestly it does feel weird sometimes! I'm really glad to hear it helps strengthens Shun's perspective. And thank you very much for the critique, that's incredibly helpful! It definitely would've helped to expand on a lot of things, both to get more insight into the characters as well as to really flesh out the story itself.
