Shun Shunsuke my beloved.....I love his name 😭
Another writing-themed banger, with a different vibe :0 and very clean, very engaging prose, which also coincidentally already starts fleshing out Shun's character through his view on the world without a lot of exposition, if that makes sense at all :0 I especially like the mindless interaction part with the cashier, the sentence made me have to reread it but more slowly hahaha, it definitely hammers in the dryness of everyday menial things and also kind of gives a small pause (?) in the flow of the story, and idk how to explain it but it highlights the rest of the scene + time passing while then skipping through the unimportant moments (scene change to the apartment) -- it's a bit late so I can't quite get the words to describe what I'm trying to say, but essentially, the glimpse into Shunsuke's life through his prose is just...incredibly masterful and it just makes you wonder where he'll take us as he travels to Yoshiaki! Also the whole concept with him getting 10, 000 yen (that's. so little omg.) is just the icing on the cake, as the first sentence in the summary I was already very intrigued. I can't even begin to know what sort of adventure we (and Shunsuke) are in for, but it's definitely going to be a treat!
