Holy moly thank you Harmonica for the great paragraph! It’s a long comment for sure, but damn is it good to read.
As a person who was repeatedly beaten down by his lack of prose (in a good manner, I do truly appreciate all of the criticisms I have achieved), to finally get that emotional-level connection I’ve been wanting to achieve is nothing but the greatest honor to me. While I can’t make any promises that the following chapters would achieve something like that again, or that the cyberpunk elements in the entry would be more noticeable (it’s still a contest prompt after all), I do wish that I can tell everyone the story I’ve envisioned.
