The mystery aspect is great! I've been thinking since I started the chapter too - what if they just ignore the targets, or, even better, just get together with one another, to both game the Cupid and still experience romance? But with them not knowing who their targets exactly are, a lot of possibilities open up, and it becomes a dangerous game of walking a tight rope. Love to see how things develop from here.
