Yay <3 Love it when people point out the darker subject matter. I'm trying to give the story a bit more agency than just a regular slapstick romcom, so seeing people like the direction I'm heading towards is great 😁 But still sticking close to my romcom roots! And thanks so much for continuing to read!

Oh yes, I'm already attempting to shake up the romcom genre by including themes of nihilism in my story; if you stick around enough, they really come into play around chapter 12. As for an action scene, I am toying with the idea for one in my GiG story, but it would happen in a future volume instead of the one I'm currently writing. Writing it might prove difficult though considering first-person doesn't lend itself as well to action scenes as third person 😅

Nah from what I've seen this website loves purple prose haha, or at least verbose prose. But I think you strike a pretty good balance in that regard Meanwhile, my own writing is more snappy and direct, so I certainly have an uphill battle attracting readers 😅
