A little bit heavy on the backstory, but it's quite an interesting world being set up here. I particularly enjoy the lens of a mind-expanded infant, as we can get both some of that higher knowledge and cognitive perception while also retaining a lot of that curiosity and vulnerability that's sure to add to the stakes.

I'm super happy with how the character cast is turning out too, and I'm also relieved to hear the cafe date idea is ringing well with people. It's funny you mention a garden, because that was something I considered too. Though, as you said, any of these locations I feel should be reflective of any kind of character/narrative growth that can exist for the broader story. It's why my main goal with each chapter is so that none of it feels like filler as they all have their own unique purposes.
