Damn, I was just getting really invested- sad to see it end now that I was on a reading roll again 😔 I feel that while Iris and Alex connected a bit too fast in this latter half of the story, their dynamic was still palpable enough that I wanted to see where both them and Lukas will wind up, but I suppose only time will tell (🔫 aka write more or else)
On a critical note, this chapter feels a bit smushed, but reading through the other comments and understanding your time constraints sort of contextualizes it, and in no way detracts from the enjoyment of the narrative in terms of prose and worldbuilding.
