Yeah, I agree in the sense that not a lot happened, but I'd be lying if I said I didn't have fun writing/reading repetitive jokes. I nom nom those and halfway through I realized I'd run out of time, wasn't going to win, and it's a first draft anyway so I just went full self-indulgent mode. With that said, it's the kind of thing I'd weed out on rewrites so thank you for bringing this to attention. I'll keep it in mind for sure.

Also yeahh, lots of stuff I couldn't pay off. It kind of annoys me, but the silver lining is the open ending and/or chance to redo. In future rewrites I'll almost certainly condense some bits to free space for others.

Lastly, it might be because Isla is island in spanish a.k.a. my native language but it doesn't sound the same as 'Easley' to me. idk though
