And with that, Stratos is safe from the evil machinations of a corrupt mayor! (I am shocked that I spelled machinations correctly on my first try!šŸ˜Ž) This story felt freeing in a way. the kind of freedom you'd assume a bird would have, or perhaps the feeling you'd get in a dream while taking to the skies in some windy city. The excitement of that, coupled with a crew of distinct people with the goal to deliver packages, really made it a fun read!

As for the characters : I have to start with Arwain, (What a cool name he has) seeing as he really was the us on his wings through this whole journey. I truly felt that his tragic past and his promising future making him extremely compelling. It reminds me that even if I'm not feeling it that day, a duty is a duty, especially when lives are at stake. whenever he had a flashback, I could feel the regret and brooding it would cause him. But he took that regret and made it his strength.

Now lets talk about the real MVP, Dingleberry. Seriously, where would the crew be without his family sending them up loads of food every week? Like, honestly. that's a lot of free goodies to enjoy!

Also, I mentioned this before in a comment, but I really liked how each of the different crewmembers had their own spotlight when it came to fame. It gave them all a little boost in the personality depart that I apricated, as well as differentiated them.

Oh, and I knew the mayor was evil from the start! (I think lol) I never trusted him! Well, it really kicked off when he wanted Arwain to be the hero of the city.

As for the setting : The whole time I could very vividly picture the city of Stratos in my head. The clouds around each building, the people scattering the skies around like birds, it just seemed so alive and easy to understand. I might have seen a movie in a similar setting, so that might have helped my imagination. anyways, I thought it was an awesome place for the story to take place.

As for the story : There was always an ever looming sense of dreed whenever a bomb would be discovered, especially since I knew it was only going to worsen the tension between flyers and no flyers. It was certainly an unavoidable intolerance, but those events accelerated the issue. I had a feeling early on the mayor was involved, and it became more obvious after the special treatment he was giving to Arwain, but I wasn't fully sure to what extent. I'm just glad it all worked out in the end! It's funny to think that a bunch of delivery people took the helm of getting rid of those bombs lol

Overall, this was a good read! Lots of tension and even some really thought provoking moments. I don't know if it was intended, but it definitely rejuvenated my sense of duty in a way. Like, even if I'm mad at someone, I should make sure to help them so they won't get hurt.

    Thanks for story! 😁

    Hi Flyers!
    Chapter:30

Jiro has become part of project Genesis, living on with his new family! A happier ending for his soul then I thought he would get.

Memoria was a fun story! The digiscape had a lot of development that made it almost feel like it could be possible some day, although personally I hope we never get to that point, regardless of the condition of our planet, which I'd like to keep green and blue if possible lol

As for the characters : I like it!

Jiro and Archie were definitely a fun duo through the whole thing. the moment Archie got shut down when they went into the mine, I felt like a piece of Jiro's soul was missing, but honestly, that worked out for the better. that whole arc served really well to introduce Tong and Kururu, giving them a lot more then just some base level details. We really got to see what they were like when pushed, and that's when a persons true personality comes to bat.

Thresh also had a lot of ups and downs for me, emotionally speaking. I hated him, then I loved him, then I thought I was going to hate him again, but then I loved him more. He was a real roller-coaster, let me tell ya'.

Songbird and Blackheart were mysterious, but I had a feeling that they were part of Aki by the way they were talking to Jiro. I really liked how they both seemed like paragons of both good and evil, even though they were very directly connected to Jiro's lost love.

Aki, although most of her story was told without her being around, we really get a good picture of her by the end. she had such a kind heart, and I'm sure leaving Jiro behind broke her just as much as it broke him.

Oh, and Barnes can eat dog poop in Heck.

As for the setting : The setting moved from a lot of different locations, which kept everything feeling fresh and different. We saw a lot of the good and we saw a lot of the ugly that Memoria's virtual world had to offer. The first town really stuck with me for some reason. I think I'd want to see a bit more of the outside world if anything, but I think the dystopian descriptions really painted it well enough.

And as for the story : I feel so bad for those Eternals... For a lot of reasons, but one of them is kinda personal and goofy XD I have no idea how long the genesis systems plan to run for, but I'm worried that those poor eternals are going to have to deal with the universe slowly running out of energy over the course of trillions of years. lol I don't know why that's all I'm thinking about, but its an unusually glass half empty concern that probably only bothers me.

Anyways, I thought the story was great. Barnes worked really well as Satan's greedy left hand seeking to monetize the afterlife for power, and Aki was an angel with one dirty wing, trying to give people souls a second chance to live on.

Overall, I really enjoyed the book! May the light of Memoria guide you on your next novel, and me catching up on all my reading here!
