It was a good break!! 👍 Thank you! 💕 Chapter drop will be later today (in like 5 hrs or so? I upload them in the evenings for USA timezones ☺️) I'm catching up with reading right now since Tuesday is actually one of my days off work 🤣 (I mostly work weekends.)

This chapter was a nice moment of levity and also something different from the norm. I like seeing Kyle's inner world. I'm also just a huge fangirl of all your characters so really I love when I can learn more about any of them 🤩 Diane chapters, hype!!!

I like it!! I think it's a little different approach, but it's cool to me that Viv starts having some emotions for the bracelet, because it's always been on her side and supporting her all this time. And not many things in her politically-charged life are really always "on her side implicitly" like that. I could see where affection (even if misplaced) could form.

And now that I'm caught up I can say that you definitely have some good opportunity for romance here with Viv being able to meet Kyle for real now 😁

Honestly I'm surprised Viv is thinking of the bracelet in a romantic sense, but I don't mind it. If it was me I'd probably assume the bracelet was sentient but not human in nature 🤣 but then again Diane dropped hints about the soul in the bracelet being human-like and having affections. So I think Diane's interference is paying off!

I feel that about the isekai genre though 😤 I don't really like all these stories where the moral ends up being "Want a better life? Just get hit by a truck!" Honestly, not cool and very anti-mental-health and I kinda wish Japan would stop pushing it so much.

It's why in my own story, I have the isekai part just be a teleportation to another world (instead of being "reborn" or anything) and then focus on how the character grows and changes in ways that still parallel growth he might experience on earth.

Oooh the mana particles idea actually works pretty nicely 🤔 I'd kind of forgotten about that approach! But it's a good way to reconvert the food to "mass" (so to speak) by having it become some kind of magic manifestation that can reform elsewhere. (But yes 😂 magic in general always tips the mass scales lol. Water mages and earth mages be like "lol mass equilibrium? What do you mean?")
The gods/goddess approach works too! But I think for your story, keeping away from an advanced pantheon is probably better just for simplicity's sake. (Plus I like it being a bit mysterious~)
