With a title like "My Immortal" I was 100% expecting them to sing an Evanescence song 👀 ...AND THEN THEY DID. YEP. 2003 is calling. They would like to congratulate you for including their emo music, even now, two decades later 😂😂😂 (okay I know this is supposed to be a serious moment but all I can think about is Ebony Dark'ness Dementia Raven Way, which btw the fanfic is the first search result for "My Immortal" and shows up even before the song 🤣 )

Okay but WWE Caisey intro is amazing and not what I expected at all, but I freaking love the idea of WWE-style introductions in the gods' realm. It's totally their style. All this build up...for karaoke!! In front of everyone! Omg karaoke for the gods 😂 I would be way too embarrassed. Caisey and Rina are amazing (okay it probably helps that Rina is an amazing singer, so maybe this won't end too badly?)

The fates!! :D again I'm totally imagining their Disney version in Hercules where they are creepy old ladies 🤣 but in some interpretations of their myths they're actually young and pretty! (Or at least usually one of them is)

But ooooh the festival challenges really were to unlock Caisey's potential! Which is why they seemed to open Caisey's memories of his past life, and maybe unlock his godly powers (if that lightning strike really was of his own doing!)

Oh but now Caisey has to face the fact that ascending means he'll leave his mortal life behind...or will he? 😆 With a bet like that, I'm not sure!

Celebratory Parade!!!! 🤣 It sounds SO COOL and I mean, festival of the gods c'mon how can that not be awesome?! But for Caisey I bet it's super stressful, with all this god realm stuff being so new to him, and being the center of the attention. (His cherub hairdo though 😂 omg i'd love to see art of that!)

🤣🤣 I'm definitely imagining this story VERY comedic now! Their exchanges are hilarious, and I do feel like this story is comedy first, even though Caisey and Rina have a more dramatic backstory together, the comedy is really the shining part of this!

The lightning strike though!!! Was that Caisey's doing? 😲 Or was another god stepping in to help? I wasn't sure, but it felt like maybe Caisey's willingness to do anything for Rina was what "unlocked" the barrier and made that lightning free Rina.

I feel bad for Elise though q.q I hope she gets to see Lady Ran again, even if only in her dreams 😴

Yesss! Yesssss!! Progress is happening! 🤣 I'm sorry it took so long, but 13 chapters I think isn't too bad!! I wanted to make sure his character growth felt realistic and wasn't too quick, but also wanted his changes to happen soon enough in the story that readers didn't lose faith in him ❤️ Hiroyuki might be the densest and biggest baka I've ever written 😂 but he definitely will continue to grow and change! And yes, even if he recognizes Mia is a separate person, he still wants to help her...maybe if not romantically, perhaps more as a friend this time around? 😉 We'll have to see!

Rumors and gossip are totally things I dislike too 😭 so I definitely felt the urge to punch those gossipers too, but I knew I didn't want to turn this into a battle anime!! 🤣 Thankfully, Toren was here to take on that fight himself and dash away with the scene.
Honestly, part of me wishes I made Hiroyuki the cat boy (because hey if you're getting isekai'd, why not become the BEST POSSIBLE THING?? :D) But I didn't want Hiroyuki to be too lucky of an MC 🤣 If he got to be a cat boy AND be a romcom protag? I think I would riot!

I always wanted my story to be a *bit* predictable, so that plot events wouldn't appear out of nowhere 🤣 but I wanted the events to unfold in a slightly unexpected way~ So you don't quite know how it'll play out till you see it!! I'm glad that this chapter still felt touching, even if it had some more-obvious leadup to it :D

Toren was definitely the character I didn't expect to become so lovable, but he absolutely stole my heart!! 😆 (Maybe it IS the cat ears! 🐈)

Originally, I planned to have a more stereotypical "Love Rival" character of some kind of fantasy race -- originally I thought I might make him part-vampire? Or maybe a mer-person?
But I ended up not liking that idea because it felt too overdone (attractive childhood half-vampire friend? He would've been almost TOO perfect 🤣) So I wasn't going to include a Rival character at all.
Then I started writing the chapter with the tavern gossipers, and Toren just showed up in my mind as a half-beast cat boy and I went "Yep. Yep this character is getting included after all. Time to replan my story again, because Toren is here to stay!!" 😆 I had to scrap a bunch of story ideas to fit him into the narrative, but I regret nothing. He ended up being the best!

Honestly I'm definitely considering this story's version of the pantheons more like DanMachi ("Is It Wrong to Pickup Girls in a Dungeon?!") where the interpretations of the deities mostly for fun, and centering around the deities' main personality trait for sake of time.
(I mean, in DanMachi they made Loki a laid-back girl with almost no Loki-like traits, and they made Freya a villainess with almost no Freya-like traits 🤣 and I mean, Hestia...do I even need to say anything about what they did to her? Poor thing q.q )
So yeah!! I definitely don't expect historic accuracy when it comes to LNs that include a variety of gods/goddesses! 😆 But I'll still get nervous whenever someone like Kronos just pops in lol! Might have considered using Janus (god of time/beginning/ends) but Janus is Roman-specific and not in the Ellinik (Greek) Pantheon, so I dunno if he would've been a good choice, since not as many readers will recognize him! 😅 Kronos is probably good for recognition and the role you needed filled here 👍
