Okay yeah 🥲 my confusion last chapter makes sense now. The MC might've been temporarily hopeful, but now the consequences really show up: parent lecture, backlash at school, not being sure whether or not to continue working with Haruko.

Ohh Naru! A name drop for the MC! :D any reason why you chose to keep the name hidden until now? It seems like a pretty chill reveal, I thought maybe there would be a deeper story behind it.

So we've reached kind of the deepest low of the story, where Naru doesn't feel like he has any agency in his life 🤔 will he ignore his parent's warnings now, and continue to talk to Haruko anyway? And maybe make some of his own decisions now?

Actually...okay yeah, the whole manifesto and god act being "for fun" kind of puts it...in a bad light, doesn't it? Somehow I was more okay with those things when Haruko believed in it 100%. To think she was just playing around with it all makes her seem really manipulative 😭 but I'm hopeful that it's not true. I hope that she really does believe in herself and her cause!

Oh shoot they actually went to school? 🥲 Man I would just skip the whole day. Props to Haruko for going to the principal's office and getting properly lectured. It was inevitable, and probably better to get that over with sooner rather than skipping school a bunch and having the problem get worse. Though LOL the "I didn't do it" excuse 🤣 honestly it might work if they can't prove it! Except for the fact that Haruko kinda...signed her manifesto with her name, didn't she?

Wait the MC is hopeful? After embarrassing himself in front of the whole class, nearly getting Haruko expelled, and probably making the whole school gossip about him and Haruko and their "class president" stunt for the rest of their school days? I uh...I'm confused 🤔

Aww he ran to the cardboard church of Haruko! That's sweet of him to remember, and to think to look for her there 😆 (and of course, she must dramatically appear by quoting Shakespeare and acting out the scene alone! Definitely giving me Drama Club Kid vibes. But it's sort of lonely to see her having to practice the lines by herself...)
Glad she threw the book first instead of the scissors! 😬 Otherwise this might've been Game Over for MC-kun right here 😆

Welp, the lecturing was bound to happen with him escaping out late at night 😭 I can't even really be upset at the parents. I'd be worried too if a good friend of mine suddenly started sneaking out late at night and not telling me where he's going. Can't even imagine what it must be like for a parent!
But at least MC-kun survived the lecture onslaught... only to go to the next fire 🥲 school. Oh no. How will the students react to that manifesto?

Kind of glad Haruko isn't at school for this fallout 😱 students are already thinking she's expelled! Fuji though, he *was* being a bit rude, but idk if I really agree with the MC for yelling at him and then going off and bringing the rest of the class into it too ("if you all want to think I'm weird too, go ahead!") Everyone's kind of overreacting here, but I guess that's what emotional teens do 😭

Awww I was hoping to get to read Haruko's full manifesto 😆 I want to know how to overthrow a school lol!!
But yeah, okay, just making the school out to be one-sidedly evil probably won't get too many people on her side 🤣 the education system definitely needs reforms for sure (I won't deny that), but complete upheaval isn't quite going to work here. And asking the students to just "believe" in her to make this happen 👀 oh gosh. This is oddly accurate to actual religions. And would totally make me want to vote AGAINST her. It's basically her saying she wants to be the leader of a dictatorship where everyone just believes in her to make the right decisions 🤣 #NoDictatorshipsPlease #SorryHaruko #IWoulntVoteForYou

Takao is...just covered in monster slime! 😆 Ahaha oh good! I was worried he might be missing a limb or something from that cliffhanger.
But yes, victory hug later. I agree with Kenta: time to get out of here!!

Yumiko is missing, and Sumire faints!? Okay, we defeated the death mite but 😱 it looks like a bigger problem is here now. A human problem. And humans are much scarier than any cave monster beast imo 😭 they must know about Sumire! And perhaps want to take her goddess powers!

Yumiko isn't a traitor though and I'm glad for that! 😆 Somehow her surprise shield smash attack made me like her that much more!! Now with reinforcements here, I just hope they can all make it home okay.

Action packed chapter!!! :D though I have a hard time visualizing fight scenes in novels just personally 😆 this was still fun to read and watch as the gears ticked in Takao's mind, allowing him to come up with the idea of stabbing the carcinus with himself and his spear!! (Did he use any magic right there to protect/buff himself, or was that just his natural fighting talent?)

But oh! Cliffhanger! Is Takao alright? 😭😭😱

Death Mite literally sounds like a nightmare class monster and will now haunt my day 🥲 horrifying! (I like it! 👍)

Sumire defeated these monsters 100 years ago, but that's before she was injured! And now she's losing her strength even more inside this cave 🤔 maybe it's time for her and Takao to work together? I still feel like Takao has some secret potential just waiting to happen!

Oooh is the death mite hiding in the carcinus shell? 😲 If they know where it is, then they can concentrate all their attacks there!

Carcinus Has Entered the Chamber

Okay but totally digging the monster descriptions 🤩 fantasy beasts might be one of my favorite things to read about, and this monstrous crab doesn't disappoint! Complete with spikes, ooze, and toxic fumes!! (I can picture the plastic toy versions of it now!! 🤣 Imagine the commercials! ...maybe I've been hanging out with my nieces too much, I've got kids merch on the mind in the middle of a deadly cave scene 😆)

Time to do the proper thing and...runnnnn!!!!

Dang Mikami WAS their healer though, and he got hit first 😭 crab monster following RPG Boss Logic and attacking the Squishy Cleric Support Wizard first. But at least Sumire's healing charm still works enough to save Mikami from immediate death.
Help is hours away AND the monsters/boss are all controlled by the Death Mite? 😱 Time for Takao or Sumire to awaken some inner powers, or this might be the end!

Nanako with a few words of encouragement!! You know, I thought she would be a bigger character 🤔 but I'm also kind of glad Nanako hasn't become a huge source of drama. She feels more like an encouraging big sister character now after knowing how she and Takao met.

Oh but this is an official dungeon test with allies! Nice! :D Kenta seems really cool. Also that carcinus being in the middle of hibernation and this being an "easy job" 😆 ...oh man, they're definitely going to wake that thing up, aren't they? And a sealed death mite? Oh gosh are they going to unseal that too?? 🤣 Maybe I'm taking these details to be too much ominous foreshadow! Maybe things will go just fine 🥲 right? Right?

Awww I was hoping the guild would be excited to see Takao take down the boar :( but they just acted like he was trying to steal the credit. I'm happy Sumire stood up for him!! But also worried now what this will do for Takao's reputation.

Aidachi though! I immediately like him 🤣 but I love guildmaster figures who are smart enough to see through the lies. He's letting some things slide (like not questioning Sumire's background) but he needs to stand strong when it comes to the guild's rules and give Sumire/Takao a strike so other adventures don't take on over-ranked quests and get hurt! 😤 Good man!

But an advancement test so soon for Takao? 😲 Sumire will definitely pass...but can he?

Please tell me Caisey is dressed in a maid outfit. PLEASE. Aww he's just dressed up to go undercover 😆 darn.

Okay but like...Don and Lisa thought that Caisey disappeared overnight and they were super worried about him, and thought about filing a police report (but didn't, likely because godly intervention.) BUT OKAY. Is no one going to talk about the fact that if Don and Lisa ascend, they'll also "disappear" like that?? And leave their families to think they're ALL dead? 😱😭😭 Isn't that even worse than just Caisey disappearing? (Am I thinking about this too deeply? 🤣 Probably.)

Of course Caisey offers to be the bath cherub 👀 couldn't possibly pass that up 🤣 but alas! The bath mission is not for today! For today, Caisey is sneaking into...hell? 🤔 Into the underworld?? Huh!
