First of all, thank you so much for reading through to the end!!! I am genuinely so happy that you became connected to these characters, and to think that you'll miss them after this 🥹 that's really a high compliment for me, because my goal (and hope and dream) is to write characters that can feel like friends to whomever reads my stories ❤️
And yes!! I wanted to write an isekai where Truck-Kun was, ironically, not needed for the isekai at all xD
(Duke Elvett can totally go drink dog water, agreed 🤣 Poochy will leave some for him! 👀)
Madam Claire is probably my favorite too, though Mia definitely ended up being more of an interesting character than I thought! For the sake of this story, Mia had to play more of a supporting role (and I'm totally fine with that), but I might like to write a story someday with a character like her as main cast -- and see where that story takes me!!
Claire and Jun do get to live forever now, if they want! I set it up so basically they live eternally, but at some point if they wish to be laid to rest or become mortal again, the Void Champions can do that for them. (But that's only if Claire & Jun choose to do so.)
I'll totally agree though with the void setting -- I didn't have as much time to describe it compared to the other locations. I ended up cutting out a lot of description due to time or word-count constraints! It's something I would like to go back and strengthen, so that the "otherworldly settings" are more defined. But I'm really glad most of the other setting descriptions hit home!! :D
