So are Rina and Ran allowed to interfere and help their chosen ones, then? 🤔 Since it was Rina's throw that helped Caisey escape Ares, right? And then she distracted Ares and Terra after that. Does that count as assisting? 😆 But if that's okay, then are things like "Rina literally picks up Caisey and carries him to the top" off limits then?
Bargaining with Nox though 👀 Caisey is playing a dangerous game but I like it! He's getting braver! I wonder how he plans to deactivate her powers in just 20 seconds though!!
Mount Olympus is actually here!!! 😱 Complete with spectator stands!?! ...alright the arena is officially set and now all the deities can watch the Festival competition in style 😎 man this sounds so cool, I'd freaking love to see this animated!! All the gods and goddesses descending to their seats looks so amazing in my mind 🤩

This "Mini" Olympus Challenge is giving me Super Aggro Crag vibes and I love it 😆 (if you have no idea what that is...that's fine 🤣 I'm probably dating myself by even mentioning it!) I also enjoy that Elise is just as terrified as Caisey about this 👀 none of these mortals were prepared!!

Ooh but Takao could see through Sumire's invisibility spell? 🤔 Maybe he has something like Magic Nullification that just *looks* like he has no magical talent on the outside because his talent is nullifying things?
But going through town getting free food samples has *got* to be raising Sumire's opinion of this place 😁 ...it would work on me at least 🤣 free food!!! (I'm 100% reading Southern Dragonion accent as Sumire talking as a Southern Belle from West Virginia 😆 whether or not this is even remotely what you envisioned, it is quite adorable in my mind!!)
Ahhh with that blush though, I see 😏 Sumire has entirely forgotten about the destruction already. Now she's just enjoying the date! ❤️ Somehow I get the feeling maybe this was her plan all along? Maybe she had her eye on Takao for awhile? (Maybe not though! I'm just theorizing at this point 👀)

Oooh so the dragon god is like a creation myth in their world! 😲 (Complete with apocalypse clause if the humans don't worship and tend to the garden well enough 😆) But also monsters! And a war! Okay, we're 100 years after the big monster war, I'm starting to get an idea of the world building now.
And now...Takao has that same Creation Myth Dragon freeloading in his household as a hot anime girl that could obliterate him and this city at any time 😌 as one does! 👍
But at least Sumire likes human food 👀 it might be time to resort to some snacktime bribery! (Also introducing all those fantasy races by having her list the food types...again I love all this subtle world building you're weaving into the natural dialogue!!!)
Sumire seems to like it here, actually, and she's taken to Takao's home faster than I thought! Also date? Date?? :D
Goth Haruko is something I didn't know I wanted, but I'm okay with this 😎 busy ikebukuro streets though!! This is certainly an upgrade from their first date, though Haruko is still asking nonsensical questions 😆 sweet or salty...popcorn, maybe 🍿?
But hey they can both be movie fans together and that is adorable 😌 ❤️ 👍
(Though I can relate to Haruko 😆 I can talk about movies just fine, but I tend to avoid watching them. I mostly keep up with movie information by hearing it on the internet and then never go see anything 🤣 confuses people so much.)
Haruko says "Convince guys to join the group" but she didn't say *flirt* with guys! That was still just Fuji's interpretation, so far 🤔
So Haruko just wanted their attention and approval, and acted in a way to get that from them! That's still not *quite* the same as flirting, I think 🤔 it may have looked like flirting to an outsider, but Haruko just wanted to be liked and complimented (and wasn't specifically trying to *date* the guys she was talking to, or have any kind of romantic relationship with them.)
Still, I'm having a bit of a hard time trusting this sudden shift in personality from Haruko going from "I literally don't care what you think we do what I want right now" to "vulnerable girl that just wants to be liked and appreciated by people." 🧐 Not sure if I trust this yet or if it's more of her acting?
But with the suggestion of movie and fried food, this really is looking more like a date! 😆 So maybe she was being genuine!
Haruko declaring a Date! What will happen this time? MC thinks of aquariums and cute conversations. ...Then remembers the cheap Italian food and getting ditched 😂 okay I'll agree, Haruko definitely seems like the type to call any guy/girl outing a Date!
Fujiwara jealous though? Maybe? Or maybe just suspicious of what MC and Haruko are up to 🧐 but oh!! Finally MC gets to ask Haruko about Fuji! She didn't remember him at first but her sudden mood shift when the Church Group was brought up has me intrigued!

MC-kun can't get Haruko out of his mind though 🤣 somehow, I think, he's starting to have a bit of an odd crush on her. Mostly based in fascination, but still kind of a crush!

Yes!! Absolutely congratulations on finishing this story on time! It was really fun, and I enjoyed so many of the unexpected aspects and especially the cultural festival!!! (Some day, we will get to see Hitomura and Kotori in that reality TV game show 👀👍)
Bonus content for contest entries can't be on HF yet, but I know after the contest is fully over (in January, I think?) You can then upload the bonus stuff here!! :D I know some of the previous years winners continued on and added more chapters after the contest ended! (like "The Consequence of Saving the World" was only ~30 chapters long for the 2021 contest when it won, and now has 80+ chapters.)

But I actually was talking to one of my relatives recently (who was a Home Ec teacher) and she said that she gave out a "shopping list" as the beginning of the year for the students & parents to bring in, and although not everyone would be able to afford to bring in the ingredients, usually *enough* students brought stuff in that they were able to make dishes throughout the school year 👍 and if a student in particular wanted to make something special, they'd have to bring in their own stuff for that. So I think the way you have it here is definitely accurate!! (I think some anime just have the ingredients "provided by the school" for sake of narrative speed.)

I really, really enjoyed this story!!! :D I mean, I think I've said it before, but I enjoy your writing style in general, and I think the story elements that you include are very fun This *feels* like it could be an anime I find on TV, and also every character is built up. The female cast members all have their own personalities, ambitions, and goals -- they exist to do more than just be a love interest for the MC, which you do not know how much I appreciate that!!! 😂 💕
You took on a big task trying to write three novels at one time (and do a rewrite too!!!) And yet, I still feel like these novels turned out very well even given the time and word-limit restrictions. I'd love to see what you write when you aren't pressed for time!! If this novel is closer "rough draft" for you, then seriously with more editing and polish, I think you will have something fantastic on your hands.
I think you could definitely continue PBG, but I also see the upsides to letting this story be "finished for now" and maybe working on something fresh where the premise and opening chapters aren't limited by the contest's requirements. Whatever you choose to do, I'd be excited for it either way!!
I also plan on finishing Campsite soon!! so expect more comments from me 😆 and then I'll catch up with Your Lovely Spirit (since I see the status is still ongoing 👀)
