We're back with the Popular Cool Group! And Haruhi is slowly dying trying to keep up his act 🫠 man that's got to be rough, and he's agreeing to social events more out of obligation than enjoyment (Haruhi's greatest comeback?? 👀 Hehehe)

Also yooo loving this festival information. I don't know as much about Japanese festivals as I should, and I love learning about them. (Also damn now I want takoyaki.) Honestly the Popular Group sound fun to be around (Mari with those ping pong skills 👀) and they really do seem like good kids. Just maybe not a good fit for Haruhi.

And right as Haruhi is thinking about her....Ichika appears~ ❤️

Inari is here! And Takashi!! And they're talking to Nao!!!! Nao is officially a time traveler confirmed.

Oooh so Nao knew everything? She knew about the events of the "removed year"? She got to fall in love with Takashi twice? 😭❤️❤️❤️ And she could never tell anyone or her mission would fail. But she got to see him alive again. And that would be worth overcoming any challenge 🥹

I now 100% understand why she was so familiar and comfortable around Takashi. She had already fallen in love with him once 😭 she knew he was trustworthy.

Also the team was technically ALL back from the dead for Obon 😭😭😭 in a way, my early ghost theory was right!! (Though it wasn't Nao who was the ghost...)

Izanami made Nao sleep through the morning of the bus accident 😱 that's why she didn't warn them sooner!!! Noooo!!!! Okay! Izanami definitely my NOT beloved. NAO WENT BACK IN TIME AGAIN 😭😭 my heart.

MOVEMENT??? Movement from Nao!!! We must bring her back or the whole world will cry (╥﹏╥) I am waiting excitedly for more. Both our stories happen to have a similar theme right now, but with such different directions I honestly don't consider it the same at all. I really love this direction for your story!! It's added a layer of depth I never would have imagined!

Ah okay! A Christian prayer makes sense, I just thought it might be Japanese probably because I watch too much anime 🤣 and I am more accustomed to 🙏 Itadakimaaasssu~ than anything else.

For me, if I know a restaurant has a good dessert menu (or there is a dessert store I want to go to nearby) I will deliberately eat less from dinner 🤣 I usually have to plan for this! If I don't plan, I will be too full to eat anything else. So I don't really have a "second stomach" I just make sure to plan my eating 😄 but there are some people out there who really can just eat desserts on top of everything else!! They amaze me.

But if Jessica isn't ready for the next step in their relationship that is fine. That is her choice. 🫡 Her home life situation might be difficult for this. Maybe her parents wouldn't approve of a "basketball boyfriend" since her parents seem to have such a focus on Academic/Career Achievement.

Trents? Dryads? Who knows 👀 there's plenty of fantasy tree races, I could probably introduce a tree girl somehow? (But okay, we've reached max love interests xD any more and I'd have to add a harem tag.)

Simplicity, yet with character growth and progress, can be some of the most powerful writing (or, at least, that's what I hope to achieve 😆) Spy x Family was so well-loved that honestly if I can even get close to that, it's a really big compliment! So thank you!

I'm still living some of that freelance job life on the side 🥲 I know the feeling. (Though right now I can confirm, MC is her only client for the sake of the story.)

Toren is definitely the "secret ending" option 🐈 If this were a dating game, he'd totally be a possible choice 😆
Things start to shape up narratively here soon though, as I head for a more defined story arc next. I think the story is going to end around ~40 chapters long? So this is about 1/4 of the way through.

Comic relief-chan is a dumb running joke 😂 I admit. But I kind of like them.

One of my things I strive to do as an author is create stories that are still engaging, but don't necessarily rely on fight scenes or violence as the main source of conflict/intrigue. It is a bit of a challenge, and I'll still throw in a little action every now and again, but I'm glad that my simple moments are coming across as captivating!! (There is a reason I can't list it as slice-of-life though 👀 the status quo won't stay forever.)

PS. I also don't really know what "sagely moronic" means I just love it. 🤣

PS 2. "As a Love Sorceress, They Tried to Arrest me for Printing Money and Evading my Taxes!!" will surely be the sequel title 😎

:D Go for the Love Pokedex! Honestly, I'd like to see more romance stories explore this concept. I don't use the Language Book as much as I could (throughout the grand scheme of the story) so I think it still has plenty of opportunity as a concept for other narratives!

👀 You bring up an important topic, about the "parallel selves" problem, and how Mia isn't really quite Amamiya, is she? Even if they have a similar personality and appearance, they grew up in different worlds, and they have a different past, and different wants and desires. So this is something Jun will have to realize!

It's been a balance trying to get all these events/world-building to happen in a relatively short amount of time, without making the pacing insane. (The fast start at the beginning still slightly haunts me xD I know I'm going to have to revise it some.) But, if Kitsune likes my backstory, then I can hold my head high 😤

Thank yooooou oh I'm so happy to hear that. I know I've really build up Claire as a character and dropped a lot of hints to her backstory, but then I was like "Wait...didn't I just set myself up to write a really good backstory or else people will be disappointed? " So I was panicking a little! But I'm glad it's paid off!!
And we will get a small preview about other world breakers' powers in a few chapters x3 I don't get to go too in-depth about them, but we will get to see a few other people who are World Breakers!

Oh man the Japanese restaurant though 🤣 I shouldn't read when I haven't had dinner yet. Might have to see if I can buy the ingredients to make my own sushi. (Thankfully one grocery store nearby sells pot stickers/gyoza 🥟)
Curious if they were praying for the food like "itadakimasu" because they know the Japanese tradition? 🤔 Or if you were going for more of a Christian food prayer there?
