Can I just say that Junoroki is an adorable nickname? And if I didn't already have 5 names for Jun in this story, I would totally make it canon? 👀

PS: Jun was totally tipsy during those narrations. 100%. If nothing else I absolutely love writing Jun's asides in-character ✨ I usually write in 3rd person, so having the chance to show Jun's thoughts in 1st person has been SO fun for me as a writer!

Phase two was always so important, and I'm glad you think that way <333 It was originally supposed to be a bigger part of the story (but it just didn't end up going that direction) but I absolutely knew I had to bring the Second Phase back up, because it's what this story is all about!! ❤️

I think this was a good choice for the dialogue here!! It definitely could have gone darker, but the competition prompt is "wholesome" so I think it's better for Mika to end up helping Saya laugh, even in the face of grief. Sometimes laughter can really help ❤️

The date between Mika and Mana!! How long until Mana notices that Mika has no concept of dating or romance?? 😆 Hopefully soon, I'm worried about her heart getting hurt if she gets her expectations too high 😞

Mika is being very polite though! Letting Mana try on the dress and waiting for her like a gentleman 🤭 but I feel he is doing this entirely platonically, based on what he thinks is the "nice" thing to do. He even compliments her, but specifically says "You appear rather cute. And I think *other people* would find you cute in that outfit." He's just saying his objective truth of the situation, but I can see how Mana would believe that he's flirting instead 😖

Mana suddenly dropping deep philosophy with the "I'd try to find meaning in the meaningless" and linking things to the body system 😆 is Mana trying to be a philosophy major when she graduates?

Two year anniversary of escaping the void 🥲❤️

Jack is playing in a band (even if they're not that good 🤭) and Maria is with him, by his side ❤️❤️❤️

But ooooh that description...sounds a lot like Arthur? 👀 Might he have come to visit Earth? Might there be more void missions in the future? I'd be excited to read more of Arthur's adventures as a world-hopping mage 🤭❤️ (though I hope for Jack's sake, that Jack's adventuring days are behind him. I want him to have a happy peaceful life now.)

And yes, I am very glad I waited to read this, because this was such a beautiful ending and honestly what I needed after a hard week.

Okay!! Sorry I am a bit behind on reading these but this last week has been really tough for me IRL and I've barely been getting my own chapters written, and I'm super behind on replying to things 😖 but!!! I am here now, and I wanted to read this finale when I could be mentally present (instead of distracted.)

Frawa fades away, and the relief of victory washes over them. But I have a feeling this isn't done quite yet? How are they getting home without Frawa's powers?

Also wait Arthur finally has his body back!!!! Wait! I didn't realize that would happen :D but he's finally here, in his own flesh!

Esmeralda and Arthur! That's right! He didn't know she was alive 😭 so even they get a touching moment. Honestly I know Arthur was portrayed as a villain for most of the novel, but I really hope he does get to have a better life after this 🥺

So the gate between the two worlds was unlocked 🤔 does that mean people can move freely back and forth now as much as they want? (So long as they know the spell?) Ah yep, you have the character talk about this exact thing. The two worlds are linked now, and people can move as they want. Whatever troubles this might cause, it does seem better than having it be a one-way street. (Also, am I sensing sequel potential with this? 👀)

FINALLY! Jack and Maria get to be together in their reality and I'm so happy for them and they're so happy together and hrhafbkwnajrjea (happy jumbled noises)

But yes, the character growth in this chapter was subtle, but this was a big change for Jun. For him, this was the first time he really (deliberately) ignored the teachings that he grew up with, and decided to change!! ❤️
