Oh man that line of "Asterion hadn't considered Daffodil a real person" like, I know how it sounds out of context, but I also know EXACTLY that feeling. I used to have a ton of 'friends' on MMOs like MapleStory and WoW back in my young days 🤣 and I never really imagined meeting them in person. We didn't talk about personal lives, so they just existed in-game and were gone once the computer was off. If I met one of them on the street IRL, I might have panicked and run away.
Honestly Asterion is taking this in stride. He's realizing he's Asterion now. And he's worthy of love (well he always was, but now he feels more worthy at least.) The question is, does Asterion want that romance? 😉
(the answer is yes, but he might not know that yet 🤭)
