Seeing the calm leadership of Adanita sparked some leadership in Rosamund, hmm~? But perhaps a little too late! The power of a wind mage is too much to overcome in the midst of a sea storm.

And into the ocean he tumbles, reminding me a bit of the cover art 😉 he's starting to sink, but I'm hoping our Pirate Queen might rescue him?

I still love the friendship dynamic between these three. Trading food, being upset about the contest loss, all of it just feels so...natural! Seriously I can't quite pinpoint it, but I just find their dialogue to be so nicely written ❤️

Also, the friends are totally going to figure out about Yuuji's dates--I mean lessons. Definitely lessons 😁 But I think he can trust Airi and Haru with the secret!

I'm glad everyone was really supportive about the whole thing. Kurokawa didn't mind them knowing. Yuuji's friends were totally okay with it. Now the guitar lessons can continue with an open heart!

(Also they ate Yuuji's lunch 😭😭 ...yep. definitely best friends 🤣)

A rooftop lunch! 👀 Yessss these are my favorites. If I'd chosen a modern day prompt for my writing, I would have had to include a rooftop lunch scene!!

They're addressing the gap between their stations (gangster as opposed to class rep) but neither of them seem to really want to let that gap get in the way of their being friends 😉 Also, I see that after-school duty, Ayano. Trying to sneak in more time with our pretty boy gangster? 🤭 AND accepting the grocery chores together?? Ayano doesn't want Akari to leave ❤️❤️ (or maybe she just wants more chances to see playful Aki~)

But I'm guessing they've got to buy groceries for the whole gang? Oh boy thats going to be a LOT of shopping! 🤣

Alright catching up with PBG first 💕

Ayano sprained an ankle during the scuffle!! 😨 But this means...a piggy back ride? <333 A gentle breeze helping them along, playing with their hair. A little bit of sarcastic quips between them? Oooh the tension here is just so good.

The gangster jig is up! Ayano knows the truth, and knows his real name now. I'm glad she found out soon though, so the lie wouldn't become a big problem between them.

Naoki immediately getting kicked 🤣🤣 "oh sorry, thought you were a viper member! Whoops!" Akari is killing me and I love it.

Ayano and Akari are so much more playful and cute and just...oooh the chemistry!! I somehow ship them even more than before

I would buy Ru a pair of vacuum shoes 😭 he deserved them!!

An Emu, a Tanuki, a Baba, and a Yada are playing cards 🎴 absolutely amazing. That is a beautiful sentence. You never cease to catch me off guard with something new and unexpected and I freaking love it. ❤️

Hai-chan brought the Emu from Australia 😭😭 omg she went on a whole Pirate King adventure with dog-sized spiders!!! And then got taken in by the Emu clan. You know. As one does 🤣 with SamEMUel L. Jackson as their leader!! Hai-chan just stopped an entire war!

The true treasure was the Emu friends we made along the way 😤 amazing. Beautiful.

I like that Akina and Tencho are slowly becoming reoccurring characters 😁 they fit right into this chaotic cast and it's fantastic. Glad Tencho is going to take Emu L. Jackson off Ru's hands. Those two boss leaders seem like they would bond 😎

Wait...Baba is gone?!? Where did baba go??? He was just playing cards!! 😭

Brilliant chapter again! Your style of writing is so unique and yet absolutely charming ❤️ And no matter how whimsical it gets, I'm still able to understand what's happening 👏 honestly I find your writing to be so cool!!

They are absolutely glamping 🤣 though maybe with a bit less litter! The farmers would probably attack them if they started messing with the fields! (Would that be a bad thing? 🤭 Maybe not. But then this story would turn into a Battle Anime.)

The festival will be a changing point for the romance!! And for the future! It's also a bit of the calm before the storm...the festival will be a bright moment, leading up to the final story arc after this!! 👀

Mia and Toren originally had a longer origin story, but it got made shorter for time reasons. I'm still happy with this current version though, because it quickly shows their dynamic as kids, and how that shaped how they think of each other now! (Toren thinks of Mia like a savior, and he secretly always liked her. Mia thinks of Toren as the big brother who used to tell her fun stories.) Now we just need to get Toren out of the brother-zone! 🤔

Nobles be like "Camping? Bring me 20 servants to handle the difficult work, and my finest carriage. We'll not be outdone by that Bevelton family like last year!" And then each family tries to outdo the other, and the others, and then, well...you get the Painted Moon Festival 🤣

Literally that is exactly how I imagine it happening. Mia just ran up with scissors and just BAM! Cut a hole. Then barely sewed up the frayed edges 🤣 I'd like to think Toren actually has better sewing skills than her now, owing to him spending more time trying to actually hem the seams to look good over the years.

Her magic is admittedly an introvert's dream hermit world 😂 I hope I eventually get to explain that her powers are unique. (Not every World Breaker gets as crazy magic talents. The power they get depends on their own natural power, and also what kind of World Champion they derailed.) So she did luck out in the magic talent department!! But of course, even with all that magic power, she still doesn't quite have what she wants 👀
